Why Create a Digital Product? | Crystal J. Rodriguez, Esq.

Because it means more $$$ on a consistent basis for something you created once!!

By Crystal J. Rodriguez, Esq.

I love working with my clients one-on-one. I love helping them through tough times in business and seeing them grow and flourish. Although I don’t do what I do only for the pay, I am grateful for the fact that I make a living doing what I love.

One day though, the idea of creating products that would be available to clients on a regular basis for them to purchase struck me! WHAT IF????

What if I could have useful templates my clients would need bundled together and available for purchase separately? What if a potential client wasn’t ready to work with me one-on-one just yet, but could get to know me from the various e-books and templates I’d offer and decide to become a client at a later date?

And so, there I was. Feverishly trying to figure out what type of digital product I could create. After thinking about what my clients needed most I was able to come up with a few things that have been successful and have helped my clients tremendously. I’ve also attracted new clients with digital products that I’ve offered for sale and as freebies.

This is why you should be looking into creating your own digital products to market your business:

Digital products allow you to generate more passive income as oppose to simply working one on one with clients. Basically, you create, edit, market and disseminate your product and people purchase.

Digital publishing is growing.  Last year alone sales were more than $6 billion in the US, and that’s just e-book sales, due to the advantages it provides. Digital products don’t take up space in their home or office. For you the seller, there is no inventory…just save and send.

Also, once you create your product, there is no need for printing or shipping so there’s the potential to make 100% profit off each item sold.

There’s also the ability to scale. The World Wide Web allows for an extensive client base. Just imagine how much a $9 e-book could make you if marketed to the right users.  Limitless!!!

The steps to create a digital product can be simple but creating a quality product that people will want to buy does require effort. Creating the content for my product was up my lane, but creating the actual finished product wasn’t. Therefore, I followed my own advice and hired out for that.  Of course, some initial investment was required before making any money but it was well worth it.

So, cheers to your new digital product and the success it will bring for your business!

¡Besos!
